The biggest difference for me between Rob and other specialists was how he listened to me and the background story of my issue without disturbing & how he was able to go through my scans, the whole illness, and how he approached it in a very personalised manner. English is my 2nd language and I thought I'd have a huge barrier explaining the problem and understanding the diagnosis and the road to getting better but I couldn't be more wrong. If I'll need it in the future, I will be coming back to Rob and I can 101% recommend him if you're still in doubt. I'm not going to share my road to recovery as everyone is different and heals at their own pace but in general, it is a very positive surprise.

I had a complex full left hip replacement after a lifetime of living with a damaged hip. We were really pleased to meet with Mr Pollock who immediately inspired confidence with a clear explanation of the problem and his plan to tackle it. I am now the proud owner of a new hip that has given me good movement, no pain and extra leg length as he promised. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Pollock.

I saw Dr Pollock for a tumour in the pelvis region. Dr Pollock really listened to my situation and questions and was able to explain the details of the MRI results and next steps/surgery. He put our (I went to see him with my mum) minds at ease with his thorough explanation and understanding of the situation, especially in the details of all medical terms stated in a previous letter. I could immediately tell he has a lot of experience in this field and is very professional, with quick actions and recommendations. The main thing for me is that he was very open and personal, taking into consideration that my family lives abroad and recommending other specialists in my home country. Dr Pollock really helped me understand and digest this news in the best possible way.

I have just has my second knee replacement performed by MR Pollock, the original knee replaced 2 1/2 years ago. I am pleased with the results. I am disciplined with the physio required to get the knee moving again (a must in my book) and this time I was walking without crutches after 4 weeks and walking the dog 1-2 miles daily after 6-8 weeks. I have still a way to go to build the strength but I am really pleased with my progress. Mr Pollock is very succinct and informative in explaining the operation and aftercare and very reassuring pre and post surgery. I felt informed, listened to and would unreservedly recommend Mr Pollock to others considering the same surgery.

Put me at ease and listened to previous history, even knew the surgeon who had operated on me 20 years previously!! Talked me through the procedure and made me feel I was in very safe hands. Rob was recommended to me as a specialist by another consultant who also held him in high regard. My recovery has progressed faster than a similar procedure 20years ago.
